Leiden University invites abstracts (300 words) by 1 November 2025 for the January 2026 conference Ethical regimes. Doctors, patients and ethics in colonial and postcolonial medicine, hosted by Dr. Fenneke Sysling and Caroline Schep. Exploring “ethical regimes” and patient agency, the event welcomes interdisciplinary perspectives on experimentation, consent, and resistance from the 17th–20th centuries. Selected speakers will receive full travel reimbursement.
