Contributions are invited for chapters of a handbook examining innovation in informal and illegal contexts: from guerrilla warfare to clandestine economies. This volume seeks to unsettle formal/informal binaries and advance STS scholarship on creativity by necessity, antagonistic innovation, and ephemeral infrastructures. Editors welcome chapter proposals engaging with gray zones as productive territories for knowledge and technology production.
