Call for nominations. Tapuya: Latin American Science, Technology and Society next EiC
Tapuya: Latin American Science, Technology and Society is an open-access online journal, recipient of the 4S 2023 Infrastructure Prize. We are now seeking an Editor-in-Chief (EiC) or an editorial collective to advance this unique editorial project.
This is an opportunity to stimulate Latin American STS conversations and promote global dialogue. The next EiC or editorial collective will be based ideally in Latin America. The new EiC or Editorial collective will serve in this important voluntary role from January 2028 to December 2032.
Applicants should submit: a CV, a 250-word statement of their vision for Tapuya, and a brief statement of support from their institution. If an editorial collective applies, curricula vitae for each member of the collective must be submitted as well as a statement on how they would jointly lead Tapuya. Documents should be sent to tapuyalastseditor@gmail.com before July 30, 2026 (the deadline has been extended).
The updated schedule for the selection of Tapuya’s third EiC or editorial collective is as follows:
- July 2026: Reception of applications.
- August 2026: Applications reviewed by the Search Committee.
- September 2026: Candidates shortlisted and interviewed.
- November 2026: Search Committee selects a new EiC or Editorial collective.
- December 2026: New Editor-in-Chief or Editorial collective is announced.
- July-December 2027: incoming EiC or Editorial collective reorganizes their schedule to enable Tapuya Editorial work (transition period).
