The Department of History and Sociology of Science at the University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a tenured/tenure-track position (open rank) in the history of computing, data and information science, or artificial intelligence. 

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in the history of science or related disciplines and employ historical and/or ethnographic methods. 

Research foci may include AI from a global perspective, data and power, computing and infrastructure, digital sovereignty, and technological labor.
